Fox Hospital to become Bassett affiliate by Jan. 1.

An agreement for an affiliation between A.O. Fox Hospital in Oneonta and Bassett Healthcare in Cooperstown was announced at an afternoon press conference today at FoxCare in Oneonta.

Earlier today day the boards of both institutions approved the agreement, to be effective on or before Jan. 1, following appropriate filings with regulators and completion of management and medical services agreement.

When the plan takes effect, Fox will become the fifth hospital, and the largest with 100 beds, to become a Bassett affiliate in the eight-county region it serves.
