‘Cat burglar’ arrested in area break-ins

ONEONTA _ An Oneonta man was arrested Monday in connection with several residential burglaries in the area since August and troopers are calling the man a “cat burglar.”

Mark A. Clark Jr., 23, was charged by state police with nine counts of second-degree burglary, a felony, and three counts of petit larceny, a misdemeanor.

Clark illegally entered occupied homes at night and stole property, troopers said in a media release Tuesday.

Clark was arraigned in Unadilla Town Court and sent to Otsego County jail on $25,000 cash bail/$50,000 bond. A Felony Hearing is scheduled for Dec. 14.
