A 19-year-old Oneonta man was arrested Saturday for allegedly slashing a woman with a kitchen knife at a home in the town of Laurens.

Conner Kilmer, 19, was charged with second-degree assault, second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.

In a media release Monday, Troopers said the woman was treated at the scene and declined to be transported to the hospital.

Kilmer was arraigned in Laurens Town Court and sent to Otsego County jail on $5,000 bail to await further court action.
