ONEONTA _ State police at Oneonta are investigating two residential burglaries in the West End.The break-ins were reported Monday. Troopers said at least one involved a homeowner who was out of town.
No suspects have been identified, troopers said. The break-ins occurred in the North Street area. Troopers are advising residents to report any suspicious behavior as soon as possible and to take precautions such as locking windows and doors. Those who go out of town should have somebody check their property at least once a day and consider other anti-crime measures, such as having their mail and newspaper delivery halted until their return and having lights on timers, troopers said.
