Staff Report
Cherry Valley-Springfield Central School will close for the rest of the week due to a high-rate of flu-like symptoms among students.
There is a high rate of absenteeism and “the school is unable to provide and educationally sound environment,” district officials said in a media release Tuesday afternoon.
Wednesday will be a conference day and students should not report to school. All school staff are expected to report to school, according to the release.
Thursday and Friday there will be no school for staff or students.
A complete adjusted calender will be on the school’s website Monday and will be distributed to staff and students.
School will resume as normal Monday, according to school officials.
