Thunderstorm warning in Chenango

The National Weather Service has issued a “severe thunderstorm warning” for northwestern Chenango County, according to an alert at about 2:30 p.m.

The alert lasts until 3:15 p.m. The storm is said to be capable of nickel-sized hail and winds of more than 60 mph.

By 2:50 p.m., the storm, moving east at 25 mph, will be approaching Pitcher; by 3:05, it will be at Otselic; and by 3:15 it will be at Plymouth, according to the NWS.
