Schenevus fireworks moved to Saturday night

SCHENEVUS — The Otsego County Fireman’s Convention continues Saturday and will feature fireworks, rain or shine, organizers said.
The pyrotechnics display, originally to be Friday, was canceled because of rain, said Richard Kenyon, firefighter and treasurer with the Schenevus Fire Department.
The carnival is at Borst Field in Schenevus, and Saturday’s program will include a chicken barbecue at noon; a Chinese auction at noon with the drawing at 2 p.m.; a parade at 6 p.m.; and the Route 66 band performing at 7:30 p.m.
Kenyon said fireworks will be at about 9:30 or 10 p.m.
