Severe thunderstorm warning for Schoharie, east Delaware

East-central Delaware County is under a “severe thunderstorm warning” until 5:45 p.m.
At about 5 p.m., the National Weather Service reported the storm moving through central New York is capable of producing “quarter-size” hail, up from earlier reports of nickel-size hail.
The storm has likely already passed near Andes, Margaretville and Arkville, and is approaching Fleischmanns and Roxbury.
In northern and western Schoharie County, there is a severe thunderstorm warning until 6 p.m. capable of producing nickel-size hail.
The storm has likely already passed Sharon Springs. The storm should be by Central Bridge at 5:45 p.m., 8 miles north of Schoharie by 5:50 p.m. and Delanson and Duanesburg by 6 p.m.
