Saturday’s rainfall tops 2 inches in some areas

The National Weather Service has released rainfall amounts for the four-county area from Saturday’s storm.
The results were compiled through unofficial observations through 10:40 a.m. today.
The rainfall estimations are as follows:
Chenango County
■ Norwich, 1.15 in. at 8:50 a.m.
■ Greene, 0.91 in. at 10:21 a.m.
■ Sherburne, 0.89 in. at 8:42 a.m.
Delaware County
■ Margaretville, 2.05 in. at 8:19 a.m.; 1.50 in. at 8:44 a.m.
■ Delhi, 1.75 in. at 8:41 a.m.
■ Bovina, 1.58 in. at 7:53 a.m.
■ Roxbury, 1.33 in. at 6:44 a.m.
■ East Sidney, 1.31 in. at 8:43 a.m.
■ Hancock, 1.26 in. at 10:13 a.m.
Otsego County
■ Worcester, 1.34 in. at 6:07 a.m.
■ Unadilla, 1.33 in. at 8:48 a.m.
■ East Worcester, 1.29 in. at 6:45 a.m.
■ Maryland, 1.22 in. at 10:21
■ Cooperstown, 1.12 in. at 8:50 a.m.
■ Oneonta, 1.06 in. at 8:49 a.m.
■ Richfield Springs, 0.51 in. at 10:24 a.m.
Outside the local area, Chemung and South Vestal were among places with more than 2 inches of rain reported.
The NWS credited highway departments, cooperative observers, skywarn spotters and media for the reports.
