Hail reported in Delaware County

Public and trained-spotter reports of hail in Delaware County have been reported to the National Weather Service today.
The hail came during a severe thunderstorm that passed through portions of Delaware, Otsego and Schoharie counties and led to a tornado warning in Delaware this afternoon.
The hail sightings, according to the NWS, were:
■ 1 mile northwest of East Branch, a member of the public spotted penny-size (0.75 inches) lasting about 5 min. at Buckhorn Lodge at about 12:30 p.m.
■ 1 mile east of Fishs Eddy, a trained spotter observed hail 0.88 inches in size at about 12:20 p.m.
■ In Arkville, a member of the public spotted hail about 0.75 inches in size at about 2:34 p.m.
