Flooding strikes in Otego

A mudslide has been reported on Interstate 88 and numerous road closures in the Otego area, including one flooded home.
At 7:45 p.m., according to the National Weather Service, law enforcement reported flash flooding in the Otego area, as 3-5 inches of rain has fallen in the Oneonta, Otego, Franklin and North Franklin areas.
As of 7:55 p.m., thunderstorms have weakened, however.

Delaware and Otsego counties are under a flash-flood warning until 10 p.m.
The National Weather Service has also issued an urban and small-stream flood advisory.
The alert lasts until 9:30 p.m., and applies to areas including Franklin, Oneonta, Otego and the West End. Water ponding is expected on county and village streets as heavy rain continues in some areas for a couple of hours.
Minor flooding of small streams is expected.
