Boil-water advisory still in effect on Bugbee Road

June 30, 2009 | Health, Oneonta Breaking News

The city of Oneonta water-treatment plant laboratory has tested water samples from the recent water-main break on Bugbee Road in Oneonta.
Those samples tested negative for coliform bacteria, meaning the results of samples collected Monday were satisfactory, the city said in a media release.
A second set of coliform bacteria samples were collected this morning and will be tested.
The boil-water advisory remains in effect until those test results are reviewed, the city said.
The 42 houses directly affected by the break have been directly notified by city personnel, the city said. People with questions should call the fire department at 433-3480.
